Our story
Sapcon was established in 2010 by Bill McDonald, a SAP consultant specializing in planning and master data management. Bill’s journey began in the heavy industries and mining sites, where he offered his expertise as a contractor. His background as a Fitter Turner Machinist and experience managing mechanical projects and engineering workshops provided him with the business knowledge and real-life experience of how businesses consume data on a daily basis.
Introduced to SAP in the early 2000s, Bill developed a keen interest in data. His fascination with data grew over time. He identified a significant gap in the preparation of data for large transformation projects, noticing that data often took a backseat to new ERP projects. This realization led to the creation of Sapcon, a testament to Bill’s vision of giving data the importance it deserves in the realm of system transformations.
